December Wrap-Up

It feels like December was at least four months long. It just never ended! That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, either, just that it kept going forever and ever. I got a lot of good reading done, absolutely no writing, and watched a ton of TV, so I’d say, overall, it was a really good…

November Wrap-Up

It was a slow month. A lot of gentle movement, turning inward and reserving my energy, and really laying a foundation for a soft, easy winter. I’m so excited for it to start snowing, and every morning that it’s a little bit colder has me feeling overjoyed with the season to come, and I think…

Review: songs on car stereos

I am beyond excited to be reviewing songs on car stereos by Michael Mahin today for two reasons. One, it’s been a long ass time since I last read any poetry, and I miss it so much! It’s been several months since my sister last hurled one of Amanda Lovelace’s books at me, and though…

Interview: Michael Mahin

I am so excited to be sharing today’s post with all of you, and just over the moon that “songs on car stereos” is out today! One of my best friends, Jen, introduced me to Michael several years ago, and when he told me that he was releasing a book of poetry, I knew that…

Review: Into the Dying Light

Am I ready for this? NOT EVEN A LITTLE. This trilogy has taken over my life for the past couple of years, and when I say that I have thought about it consistently every single week since the release of There Will Come a Darkness (review linked), I am not even kidding a little. Y’all…

September Wrap-Up

I don’t know, y’all. It was a difficult month. I’ll talk more about it after we’ve discussed the books read and movies watched, but it definitely contributed to why I didn’t finish my Orilium TBR and didn’t write a single word. I’m tired, and I’d really like a break. Mini Book Reviews Legend🌈 LGBTQPIA+ characters🔥…

Review: As the Shadow Rises

There is way too much that I’m excited about in this second book. I remember this one so vividly because it had me screaming. Like, what an excellent example of a middle book that not only acts as a bridge within the trilogy, but holds its own. ICYMI, here is the review for the first…

August Wrap-Up

SHE’S BACK! Olá, friends, I missed you so much! I’m so excited to be back and badder than ever because guess who not only has all of September’s posts scheduled, but also written? YA GIRL IS ON FIRE! Honestly, though? I also have a good portion of October’s posts written, and I’m just so happy…

Review: There Will Come a Darkness

Ohhhhh boy, here we go. I think I’ve probably talked about Katy Rose Pool’s The Age of Darkness trilogy at least once a week for the entirety of 2021? I don’t think it’ll get any better after the finale has released, either. I think we’re in it for the long haul, folks. This trilogy is…

July Wrap-Up

It wasn’t a great month, but it wasn’t a terrible one, either. ICYMI, I’m taking a break for the month of August. I’ll still be blog hopping and present in the community, but I won’t be posting anything. I’m hoping to settle into a rhythm with reading again because, while I did finally get my…

Matched my book with my bathing suit because why the heck not be as cute as humanly possible? 🍋
I’ve been seeing this book everywhere in my feed, so I was hyped to find it at the queer books table at Pride. We’ve only got a few more days of celebration, so I’m squeezing in as much reading as I can, and I’m happy to report that I read NINE out of my twelve TBR books this month!
Honestly have zero idea what this book is about because that title did all the work, and it was coming home with me no matter what. Also, peep the gorgeous embroidery my best friend gifted me in the background! 🌸
There was a whole queer table at Salem’s Pride festival today, and it was everything I could do not to buy every single book. 💙💜💖
This is probably my most hyped book this month given how hard Kelly Quindlen slayed on Late to the Party, and I am so ready to be wrecked again.
Happy release to this beauty! 🌿 The first one absolutely wrecked me, and I am so ready to be devoured by the second one.
