The what are you reading Wednesday posts are hosted by Taking on a World of Words! If you were paying attention, you’ll notice that Monday and Tuesdays posts went up around 7PM on Tuesday, and I’m only just now drafting this one around 10:30PM. It’s been a week, suffice to say, and I’m going to be glad to see the other side of it. I just keep reminding myself that Pride is next week, and Erin & I are going to have the best time ever.

what did you recently finish reading?

Surprise, Athlen was a merman! I mean, we all knew this (except me), and I can’t wait to read Lukens’ new release. I meant to read way more this weekend, but both days just got away from me, and while I did start First Kill, I didn’t get very far in my current read.

what are you currently reading?

I’m 80 pages from the end of Ophelia After All, and while I would like nothing more than to stay up until midnight finishing it right now, I got five hours of sleep on Monday, and I am dead exhausted right now typing this up last minute, so I’m going to pencil that in for tomorrow. I should be finished with it by tomorrow evening, though.

what do you think you’ll read next?

I want to say I have these big grand plans about reading a million books this weekend, but I have a wedding to attend, and I’m going to be busy all day Friday & Saturday for it, so I probably won’t get much read at all until Sunday. However, Café con Lychee is still up next, and then we’ve got When You Get the Chance and She Drives Me Crazy. I’m not as far into my TBR for this month as I’d like to be, and it’s starting to look unlikely that I’ll get through all twelve books, but I’m going to give it my all, damn it. We’ve still got half of the month left, and I think I can read another solid four or five books.

I gotta say, too, I am so freaking impressed with myself for staying exactly on target with the order. I haven’t strayed yet from what comes next in the stack, and I’m really enjoying this approach, so I’m pretty excited for my next read.
