The what are you reading Wednesday posts are hosted by Taking on a World of Words! The slump is still real, though it is getting a bit better. I’m due to receive the rest of the Soulbound series in the mail this week, and I’m actually really excited about reading them, so fingers crossed that they help break all of this nonsense!

what did you recently finish?

The only thing that I managed to finish was A Ferry of Bones & Gold, and I want to be surprised, but I’m not. I did absolutely no reading over the weekend, though that was largely in part due to helping my brother move on Saturday & running one million errands on Sunday. I ended up DNFing Mansfield Park, and I don’t think I’m ever likely to pick it up again, but oh well.

what are you currently reading?

I am still reading A Thousand Beginnings and Endings, though I am finally making headway on it again. I have a busy weekend coming up with a bachelorette party & bridal shower, so I’m aiming to finish this by Thursday at the very latest.

By the time this post goes live, I will have also hopefully received and started All Souls Near & High because I am 100% planning on bingeing the entire series in one go.

what do you think you’ll read next?

The song remains the same! I’m not setting a TBR for May, and I’m really trying to give myself grace with reading, but I am also seven books behind for my Goodreads goal, I miss reading like crazy, and I’m really trying to force myself to make time for the things I love and stop letting work stress me out outside of work. (It’s not bad stress, I love my job, just kind of taking over my life right now.) However, I am planning, as I’ve said twice already now, to keep on keeping on with the Soulbound series, so up next is probably A Crown of Iron & Silver. It’s unlikely that I’ll get any reading done this weekend, though I’d really like to because I think I might go a bit nuts if I don’t. If I do read anything, it’ll just be more of the same!

I’m on a bit of an urban fantasy kick at the minute and Soulbound sounds so good! I might have to give it a read

I’m having an absolute blast reading them. I haven’t started the second book yet, but I’ve got them all stacked up next to my bed right now, so hopefully soon!
