I had so much fun with the Friday Favorite Five doing yellow covers, so I thought I’d swing back around for some pink covers! This is a fun list created by Way Too Fantasy, and I’m mostly here this week because I already know, definitively, what one of my covers is going to be, so get ready for me to scream about a book I’ve already screamed about plenty.

My copy of Emma by Jane Austen is literally one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. When you flip open the jacket, the back of it looks like the backside of the stitching done on the front. Plus, this cover is just so cute in general. I think the light colors and sewing vibe really fit Emma’s character, as well.

Wow, it’s been a long time since I last shouted about my love for Rhoda Belleza’s duology. Blood of a Thousand Stars didn’t quite knock me off my feet like the first one did, but it was still pretty superb. If you’re looking for a realistic look at racism set in space with a dash of conspiracy and politics, this is it, guys.

HI IF YOU’RE SURPRISED I’M SCREAMING ABOUT EMERGENCY CONTACT BY MARY HK CHOI AGAIN, THE PROBLEM LIES WITH YOU, NOT ME. This book is a little piece of my soul laid bare. It’s everything I ever wanted in a contemporary romance, and I’m probably going to die just as hard the third time as the first time. Considering I also just read Permanent Record, and it nearly strangled me, so y’all, Choi is a saint, and I appreciate it.

I don’t think I’ve ever had the opportunity to really express my love for Jennifer Honeybourn’s When Life Gives You Demons, but this book is a piece of freaking gold. I love its ridiculousness so much. I love how it pokes fun, but still has a really involved plot. I love the dumbass characters, and how it gets so Supernatural in its “look at all this lore, but oh the demon hunter is also a teenager.” Like, this book will make you cackle and jump with fright a little.

It feels only appropriate to round out this list with a Nina LaCour. And that’s pink, right? Salmon, but whatever, it’s pinkish. The cover reboot for Hold Still had me shook, and honestly, I wish every LaCour book could get this treatment because this and We are Okay just about ruined me before I even opened the cover.
Well, that was quick and fun! What a nice way to kick off my Friday.
